My foundational training and credentials in birth, postpartum, and lactation support.

Birth Doula Training — Denver Health Community Doula Program Completed comprehensive birth doula training through Denver Health’s Community Doula Program, a hospital-based program recognized by the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing. Training covered labor and birth support, pregnancy, early postpartum, breastfeeding, trauma-informed care, racial equity in birth work, and hands-on support techniques.

CAPPA Postpartum Doula Certifying through the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA), an internationally recognized organization setting the standard for birth and postpartum professional training and ethics. Training covered newborn care, infant feeding and breastfeeding support, emotional and mental wellness in the postpartum period, hands-on care for babies and newborns, and a whole-family approach to early parenthood.

Certified Lactation Educator (CLE) CAPPA Trained to provide evidence-based breastfeeding education, support families through feeding challenges, and make referrals when clinical care is needed.

CPR Certified (Infant & Adult) — trained in emergency response to ensure a safe environment for every family in my care.

Reproductive Trauma: Essential Tools for Infertility, Pregnancy Loss, Birth Trauma, and Perinatal Mental Health Disorders Continuing education completed through PESI, Inc. with Janet Jaffe, PhD. Covers trauma-informed tools for supporting families navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, and perinatal mental health challenges.

Women’s Mental Health Across the Lifespan Continuing education completed through PESI, Inc. with Kristine Spano, PsyD. Covers CBT, DBT, and mindfulness techniques for addressing hormonal shifts, PMS, PMDD, postpartum mental health, perimenopause, and menopause.
