Postpartum Doula Services

What I Do as Your Postpartum Doula

Support, Not Medical Care — A Gentle, Empowering Approach

At Parent Vortex, I offer holistic postpartum support rooted in education, care, and presence — not clinical tasks. As your postpartum doula, my role is to nurture you as you nurture your baby. I support your recovery, offer guidance on newborn care, and help bring more ease to your days, always working within the role of a non-medical support person.

Serving families across the Denver metro, including Boulder, Arvada, Westminster, Lakewood, Golden, Denver, Littleton, and Broomfield. In-home care is available for local parents, with a focus on easing recovery and supporting newborn transitions.

Here’s How I Support You:

🍼 Infant Feeding Guidance
Whether you’re breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, pumping, or combo-feeding, I offer nonjudgmental, evidence-based support:

  • Helping you get comfortable during feeds
  • Showing basic positioning, latching, and hunger cues
  • Supporting your pumping routine or bottle-feeding setup
  • Referring you to a lactation consultant if deeper support is needed

🛌 Emotional Support & Grounding
The fourth trimester can feel overwhelming. I’m here to:

  • Listen with compassion
  • Support your birth story processing
  • Reassure you through common newborn phases
  • Hold space for you
  • Hold space for your partner, too

👶 Newborn Care Confidence
I’ll gently guide you through newborn basics so you can tune into your baby’s cues and feel empowered. I can help with:

  • Diapering, soothing, bathing, and swaddling
  • Understanding sleep patterns and fussiness
  • Building your confidence one moment at a time

🧺 Light Household Help
Small tasks can make a big difference. I’m happy to:

  • Fold baby laundry, prep a snack, or tidy a feeding station
  • Organize baby supplies or help with postpartum care kits
  • Keep your space calm so you can rest

🧘‍♀️ Support for You
I’ll remind you that your healing matters, too. I’m here to:

  • Encourage naps, showers, or mindful breaks
  • Share gentle postpartum self-care ideas
  • Honor your rhythms and needs without pressure

🌼 Referrals You Can Trust
Need more support? I connect you with:

  • Lactation consultants, mental health counselors, pelvic floor therapists, and more
  • Local and online resources for new parents
If something requires medical expertise or is outside my training, I’ll connect you with the right professional.

What’s Not Included

To keep my role focused on non-medical postpartum care, I do not:

  • Perform medical exams or procedures
  • Diagnose or treat health concerns
  • Give medical advice
  • Administer medications
  • Babysit older children or provide overnight nanny care
  • Do deep cleaning or heavy household chores

You Deserve to Be Cared For, Too

This isn’t about doing it all. It’s about having someone by your side to remind you: You’re already doing enough. I’m here to walk with you through the early days of parenthood with compassion, intention, and practical support — so you can rest, connect, and slowly find your rhythm again.
